Established Firm

Thompson Mitchell was established in 1986 in Portadown, where spacious new office premises were acquired in 1998. The practice expanded to Hillsborough in 1994 and then in 1999 another office was opened in Belfast city centre.

Clients of our firm comprise individuals and companies not only from Northern Ireland, but also from overseas, including from as far away as Japan. Overseas clients can avail of our Japanese and other foreign language services.

Experienced Solicitors

Thompson Mitchell has two partners, Peter Thompson and Chris Mitchell, who oversee all client files, as well as an assistant solicitor, Wendy McIntosh, who specializes in claims and family law.

We also have excellent friendly support staff and fully computerized offices with state-of-the-art telephone links and email and internet connections to increase the speed and efficiency of service to clients. 

Personal Client Care

As close solicitor-client contact is essential, each client’s business is looked after personally by one of our solicitors. We make a point of keeping clients informed of progress in their cases and when developments take place. 

Quality Service

We aim to return telephone calls and emails the same day or by the next working day at the latest. We are also happy to provide fee estimates before commencing work. Clients can be seen when and where they choose, often without appointments.
